I’m someone that needs passion in my life. Passion for my work, passion for my friends, passion for my loved ones and passion for my sports. For me everything is either 100 or nothing at all. Life’s too short and way too beautiful to do things comfortably 💚.
The items that I brought represent this for me. I brought my dancing shoes, because as soon as I step on the dancefloor, I forget the rest of the world and I just enjoy the freedom that it gives 💃🏼. Knowing that the music is carrying you and the feeling that you can push your body to the limit. Working your butt off and still making it look effortless and elegant. I feel the same about aerial yoga (which I also love doing), where you also push the strength and power of your body to the limits, and be fearless, while still making it look effortless and elegant.
However, bringing the silks was a bit more difficult than bringing my shoes 🙈. For me there is a strong link between dancing/ aerial sports and software design. Also in software you want the core to do all the heavy lifting, the heart of your software needs to be able to do complex and difficult things. While on the outside, the frontend of your platform, everything should look effortless and elegant. So that brings me to my second item.
I have a picture of Alice in wonderland on my nightstand. She reminds me that anything is possible. That sometimes all you need to create wonders is just being bored for a moment, and let your mind explore the edges of what is possible. When we were designing the new heart of our software, the AI-algorithm that predicts the future to make sure that we make the best decision right now, Bram and I agreed that there was only one name suitable for this algorithm: Alice. We had to go all the way down the rabbit hole to figure this out, we often felt like the mad hatter, and of course, that there is always time for tea 🍵.
But we knew if the three of us (Bram, Josh and myself) put our minds together, we can imagine things beyond imagination, we can design things that work like clockwork and then we can actually build it. So we jumped in, head first, fearless and full of passion.
About working at Tibo Energy…
For me the most important thing is the team. Together with Bram and Josh I can design and create anything. They lift me up, we feed off each other's energy and we just go for it. Together with our whole founders team I believe we can conquer the world, we all have this drive to make the world better. We all have a different background, but we have a common goal and we have a deep respect for each other and each others talents, which really brings us together as a team.
And lastly our wider team, all of our fantastic co-workers, who care for each other, who look after each other, who have fun with each other and just make it a blast to come to the office every single day. And with their hard work, whether it is in developing our platform, in selling our software, making a name for us, or running the company, it doesn’t matter, everyone does their bit to make Tibo the best. And from every single one of them I know that if they tell me that they’re going to fix it, they are going to fix it, and it will be done to an extremely high standard.
