Het is tijd voor de volgende fase: vandaag kondigen we aan dat we onze seedronde van €6M hebben geclosed. De ronde werd geleid door KOMPAS VC met deelname van Hitachi Ventures, WEPA Ventures, SET Ventures en Speedinvest.

Sinds onze lancering eind 2023 draait ons AI-gestuurde energiemanagementsysteem (EMS) op meer dan 30 industriële locaties. We helpen bedrijven meer capaciteit uit hun bestaande infrastructuur te halen door gedistribueerde energie-assets slim aan te sturen—zonder te hoeven wachten op netuitbreidingen.

Netcongestie remt nu al de groei van bedrijven in Nederland. Organisaties krijgen te maken met jaren vertraging voor netverzwaringen en hoge kosten door piekbelasting. Onze software stuurt lokale energie-assets realtime aan, waardoor extra capaciteit vrijkomt. De eerste signalen uit Duitsland en Spanje wijzen erop dat deze uitdaging zich snel uitbreidt.

Met deze financiering breiden we uit naar Duitsland en België, verdubbelen we ons team en versterken we ons EMS-platform met nieuwe modules—van e-fleetcoördinatie tot geavanceerde visualisaties in Power BI.

Alice: de AI-engine die vooruitkijkt

Ons platform combineert een intuïtieve energiesysteem-simulator met realtime sturing door Alice, onze eigen AI-optimalisatie-engine. Alice werkt elke vijf minuten controleschema’s bij en past de energiestromen dynamisch aan op basis van live data, prijsverwachtingen en contractgrenzen.

Het systeem werkt hardware-onafhankelijk en schaalt flexibel over verschillende soorten assets—zoals zonnepanelen, batterijen en laadinfrastructuur voor elektrische voertuigen. Waar traditionele systemen reageren op wat er gebeurt, anticipeert Alice op wat er kán gebeuren. Ze stuurt assets aan op basis van verwachte prijzen, netlimieten en CO₂-intensiteit—zodat energie stroomt naar waar die de meeste waarde oplevert.

“Infrastructuur mag de energietransitie niet in de weg staan,” zegt Remco Eikhout, CEO en medeoprichter van Tibo Energy. “Alice helpt bedrijven onbenutte capaciteit te benutten, risico’s te voorspellen en bijna realtime te optimaliseren—of je nu één batterij beheert of een volledige EnergyHub. Dankzij deze financiering kunnen we die flexibiliteit naar meer Europese klanten brengen.”

Bewezen resultaten op 30+ locaties

We’ve already proven our value across 30+ industrial sites, with multi-site implementations for companies like Montea and active control at locations like Intratuin.

Our customers coordinate local production and consumption, monitor energy use, and automate decisions that used to require manual input. The results? Avoided peak load penalties, optimized solar generation, and significantly reduced operational costs.

Partners like Unica, Hoppenbrouwers, and Stantec are actively implementing our EMS across logistics, retail, and light industry. “Thanks to Tibo Energy, we help customers facing grid congestion achieve their sustainability goals,” said Geert Oerlemans, Innovation Manager at Hoppenbrouwers.

Wij zijn klaar voor Europa

KOMPAS VC leidde onze financieringsronde met deelname van Hitachi Ventures en WEPA Ventures, naast bestaande investeerders SET Ventures en Speedinvest. Naast de investering door het familiaal venture capital-fonds WEPA Ventures zijn we een bredere industriële samenwerking aangegaan met WEPA Group om innovatieve industriële energieoplossingen te verkennen—wat de synergie benadrukt tussen familiaal VC-investeren en waardetoevoegende start-up samenwerking.

We gebruiken deze financiering om uit te breiden naar Duitsland en België. Tegelijkertijd verdubbelen we ons team in de komende 12 maanden, met focus op engineering, sales en productontwikkeling. Aan de productkant bouwen we verder aan plug-and-play modules voor e-fleetcoördinatie, e-boilerbesturing en geavanceerde visualisatie in Power BI. Zo krijg je meer grip én meer mogelijkheden om je energie-opstelling te optimaliseren.
