The industrial park is facing grid congestion, a growing challenge as multiple stakeholders compete for limited grid capacity. To tackle this, a group transport agreement with Enexis was established, enabling smarter energy distribution and better coordination. Tibo Energy’s EMS plays a crucial role in this solution by optimizing energy flows, reducing grid strain, and maximizing the use of locally generated renewable energy.
Extensive test period
Tonnie Visser, Facility Manager at ATD Machinery, explains why Tibo Energy was chosen: “After an extensive test period comparing all providers, Tibo Energy excelled in several key areas.” He highlighted the dashboard’s modern design, calling it “sleek, professional, and consistent in its use of colors, typography, and icons.” Visser also praised the clear layout, describing it as providing “a comprehensive view of energy flows, including delivery, return flows, and directions across the park.”
Logical structure
The system’s user-friendliness was another standout feature. “The dashboard is intuitive and easy to navigate,” Tonnie noted, adding that its logical structure allows users to quickly find the information they need.
Tibo Energy’s innovative use of AI and machine learning was equally compelling. “The system leverages cutting-edge technology to optimize flexible assets,” said Tonnie. He also emphasized the value of the EMS’s predictive capabilities, which use historical and real-time data to forecast trends and patterns. “This enables participants to make smarter decisions and maximize efficiency,” he concluded.
Fast rollout in 2025
The energy hub is set to go live this summer, with the first participants already benefiting from the EMS’s capabilities. This initiative is preparing Kempisch Bedrijvenpark for a more sustainable and efficient energy future.
About Tibo Energy
Tibo Energy provides the key to success for companies facing complex challenges in the energy transition. Tibo’s Energy Management Software (EMS) not only responds to current energy demand and supply, but also anticipates future changes using machine learning and forecasting.
This enables the effective application of both peak shaving and load shifting. The software distinguishes itself by managing the complex integration of multiple energy sources and consumers within a network (smart grid), resulting in optimal grid utilisation, cost savings and emissions reductions. Tibo raised three million euros in late 2023 and works with Eindhoven Airport, Hoppenbrouwers and Fudura.
About Kempisch Bedrijvenpark
Kempisch Bedrijvenpark (KBP) is a modern and sustainable business park of 69 hectares, located in the Brabantse Kempen region. Strategically positioned alongside the A67 motorway, the park offers direct access to international logistics and industrial centres such as Antwerp, Venlo, the Ruhr area and Eindhoven.
